Narrative Description of Project:

The project reviewed planning reports for sewerage for Kumasi and preparation of implementation programme for the city for a projected population of 1,000,000.  The study included identification of the first phase of the implementation programme, sketch designs and cost estimates. Also undertaken was the economic justification of the project.  The cost of the project was US $ 10.0 million and was financed by  Government of Ghana.

Description of Actual Services Provided by ABP:

ABP undertook the review and updating of the existing planning report, preparation of the masterplan and recommendation for the implementation of the sewage disposal system. ABP also prepared topographical survey and  carried out studies on the effluent qualities of the existing oxidation pond.
