Narrative Description of Project:
Both phases consisted of planning, design, construction supervision, and contract management of the Oil Palm Mill of capacity of 25 tonnes ffb per hour (initially 20 tonnes ffb per hour, later expanded to 25 tonnes). The project comprised the construction of fruit reception station, sterilising station, kernel handling station, incinerator for empty bunches, boiler house, oil storage tanks, waste treatment plant, roads, rails and marshalling yards, water supply and distribution and electricity supply and distribution. Electrical services comprised the installation of 2No. 500kW standby diesel generating sets, construction of 10km of 11kV line, establishment of 11/0.415kV 750kVA substation, 120km of low voltage distribution network and service connections to estate housing units.

Description of Actual Services Provided by ABP:
ABP was responsible for topographical survey, geotechnical investigation, water resources studies, designs of civil, structural and electrical works including foundations for machinery/equipment; the layout of which was provided by Gurthrie; preparation of technical specifications, bill of quantities, construction supervision and contract management.
