Narrative Description of Project:

The project consisted of the design of two parallel bridges and ancillary works to replace an existing weak and narrow two-lane single overpass bridge spanning across railway tracks and the Subin River. It also included the design of two major intersections (4 roads) at each end of the bridge.  The existing Subin River channel had to be increased in height to accommodate the relatively high fills on one side and to be strengthened.

Description of Actual Services Provided by ABP:

ABP carried out topographic surveys, hydrological studies, traffic count, preliminary and detailed designs of the bridges, major road intersections, access/exits, retaining walls and all associated works. ABP also prepared tender documents and cost estimates.  Construction could not come on because the estimated cost of US$2.6M was beyond budget.
