Narrative Description of Project:

Franmar Joint Venture, which had been awarded the construction of  70km of road, invited ABP to review all designs and estimates to enable it renegotiate Contract Price. Contractor invited ABP to stay on to advise on project implementation.

Description of Actual Services Provided by ABP:

Review of engineering designs for about 70km of road. This included review and designs of 4 Bridges, some culverts and other drainage structures. Review also covered axle load surveys, origin - destination surveys, geodetic surveys, geotechnical investigations, hydrological reports and pavement designs. Estimates were also prepared and Contractor’s programme was reviewed. Visits were also carried out on site to help in monitoring the works and measurement of quantities for preparation of Interim Certificates.
