Narrative Description of Project:

Project consisted of Engineering Services for the design, supervision of construction and contract management of 6 No. major intersections in Accra.  These are: Winneba Road/Dansoman Road Intersection; Winneba Road/Kwashieman Road Intersection; Winneba-Darkuman Road Intersection; Winneba Road/Hansonic Road Intersection; Laterbiokoshie Road/Link Road Intersection and Spintex Road/Coca Cola Road Intersection.  Duties included topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations, geometric designs, pavement designs for asphaltic concrete, pavings signalization of intersections and drainage. It was funded by IDA at a cost of US$3.5 million.

Description of Actual Services Provided by ABP:

ABP was responsible for all services except the geotechnical investigations and signalization. Contract was an extension of existing Works Contract.  ABP prepared preliminary costing to form basis of negotiations; prepared Contract Documents; supervised  construction and contract management.
