Narrative Description of Project:

Project consisted of 11No. Separate contracts executed by 9No. Contractors, all located in the Cocoa growing areas of the Western Region of Ghana. Total length of all the roads involved was 270km and there were over 75 culverts of different sizes. The project was funded by the European Union at a cost of ECU 2.5 million.

Description of Actual Services Provided by ABP:

ABP reviewed all designs prepared previously. The review involved mostly geometric designs of alignment, sizing and competence of culverts and two minor bridges. The review was followed by preparation of tender documents, evaluation of tenders, assisting the client in negotiations, preparation of contract documents, construction supervision and contract management. Construction supervision was undertaken by two teams, one for 6No. Contracts and the other 5No. Contracts.
